CHAKA
Director Charlene van Kasteren, otherwise known as Chaka, the latest addition to our young roster. Coming from an Indonesian background with a Dutch upbringing, Charlene rejects all that which is one-dimensional. She’s always looking for a sense of freedom in her work, all the while maintaining a strong foundation of core values. She studied Lifestyle Design & Audio Visual at the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, working first in Art Department before directing. Her work is featured in Nowness, The Daily Indie, Long Beach Indie Film Festival, Noisey, LA Underground, Toronto Film Week.
